Melissa Goolsby

M.S., CCC-SLP, BCBA – Speech/Language Pathologist, Behavior Analyst & Owner of Across the Board

Melissa Goolsby is the owner of Across the Board Therapy Group. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University Montgomery in 1999. She began her career as a Speech Therapist in January 2000 in the public school district. She went on to obtain her Master of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in 2004. In 2014, Melissa completed the requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

In her 20 year career, Melissa has worked in a variety of settings including school, home health, and private clinics. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys gardening, kayaking, and time with her family.

Tracey Rhodes

Tracey is originally from South Alabama and is so excited to finally be a Florida girl! She brings over 20 years of diversified healthcare experience to ATB including Lean Process Improvement and Studer Group patient experience fundamentals. Tracey studied Mathematics at Troy University. She uses her love of numbers and processes to help streamline billing and denial management for ATB.

Her husband is a coach and teacher at Navarre High School. In her spare time you can find Tracey at a ball field cheering for her three kids and husband or at a beach enjoying the sand and sun.

Hayden Davis is a Speech/Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her Masters Degree in communication disorders from the University of South Alabama and completed coursework for her BCBA at the University of West Florida. Hayden has 20 years’ experience working with adults, adolescents and children with varied abilities and needs. Hayden specializes in verbal behavior, aphasia, and social pragmatic language. She has experience treating disorders of language, articulation, fluency, feeding, and voice. She enjoys spending time with her 2 beautiful daughters, her 2 awesome dogs, and her mediocre cat. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, and golfing.

Mandi Pinto

Mandi’s a speech language pathologist who received her Bachelor & Masters of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Montevallo. For 25 years, she has worked with adults and pediatrics at private clinics, public/private schools, and in-home healthcare. She covers all areas of speech from the belly to the brain. This involves swallowing, respiratory, cognition, language, articulation, voice and alternative / augmentative communication. She loves spending time with her family. She has a daughter in Pensacola and a son at Troy University. Her long distance loves are 2 daughters, 1 son and 5 grandchildren in Idaho as well as a son in Arizona and a daughter in Oregon. Speech therapy is her passion, the beach and playing golf are hobbies, but helping her husband do the hermit crab races at Crabs on Pensacola Beach is her full time fun!

Julia has been a Pediatric Occupational Therapist since 1998. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Arkansas. Julia has worked in a variety of settings including schools, preschools, private clinics, home health and hospitals.

Julia is trained in sensory processing, Alert program, Wilberger Deep Pressure Protocol (Brushing), Handwriting without Tears, and Brain Gym. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, movies, hiking, and the beach.

Sharon Stewart

Sharon Stewart is a Speech/Language Pathologist, entrepreneur, and speaker. She received her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of South Alabama. She has over 30 years of professional and clinical experience. Her clinical experience includes working with adults, adolescents, and children with varied abilities and needs with clinical specialty in social/pragmatic language, augmentative communication, language, and articulation/phonology, etc.

Sharon is a leader in her industry with professional experience and services to include, but not limited to, leadership training, program development, mentorship, collaboration, clinical training, and speaking. Her personal mission is to add value to whomever she has the opportunity to serve.

Originally from New Orleans, Jenia served as a behavior technician since 2014. She graduated summa cum laude from Capella University in 2016, Masters in Psychology and emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis. She passed her Board Certification exam in May 2016 and continued in the field as a BCBA. Jenia is experienced with patients 20 months to 19 years and has worked in clinic, home, and school settings. She has 3 beautiful children and a US Air Force-retiree husband. When she isn’t working, she loves being outdoors with her family and enjoying the pool or the beautiful Navarre beaches.

Erin was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Health & Exercise Science in 2017 from Central College in Pella, IA. She then received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2020 from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Erin has worked primarily in pediatrics with the Autism population and children with developmental delays.

Erin is the self proclaimed ATB resident crazy cat lady, so in her free time you’ll find her spending time at home with her 9 animals, hanging out with friends downtown or relaxing at the beach.

Dr. Kalli Donaway Clement has been a Speech Language Pathologist for over 10 years. She is a specialist in swallowing and feeding problems and developing treatment programs to solve the problems experienced by children and adults who have neurological diagnoses.

Kalli is active in local and national Speech Language Pathology associations, and is actively involved in training new Speech Language Pathologists. Kalli graduated with her doctorate in Medical Speech Language Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh.

Elizabeth was raised in Dothan, Alabama and received her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Auburn University in 2019. She then went on to Jacksonville University to obtain her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2022. Elizabeth has an interest in parent education and enjoys working with the pediatric population.

In her spare time Elizabeth enjoys reading, spending time on the beach, and enjoying time with her husband and her dog Oakley.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida State University, Mariette completed a Master’s in Health Education & Promotion from The University of West Florida. She taught high school science until she found her true calling in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Mariette has worked with adults and children with various disabilities and diagnoses, in diabetes research & health education, and loves helping students reach their full potential.

Mariette grew up in a military family and has lived in the gulf coast off and on throughout her childhood. She lives in Gulf Breeze with her husband and 3 daughters. In her free time she enjoys scuba diving, taking her girls to the beach, and playing with her dog, Pickles.

Dr. Sindhu Decent

Sindhu has been a Physical Therapist for over 20 years. She obtained her Post Professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. She has worked with adults as well as children in a variety of settings including Outpatient, Rehab, Schools, and Home Health in Alaska, Idaho, and Florida. She has worked closely with children with Torticollis, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Developmental Delay, and Orthopedic conditions.

She is NDT trained and has worked extensively with adults who suffered from strokes. She enjoys hiking, reading, Yoga, and fostering dogs.

Rachel is a Speech Language Pathologist.She earned her Masters of Speech Language Pathology and Bachelors of Communicative Disorders at the University of Alabama. Her clinical special interests include fluency, autism, and early intervention.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her two cats and her family. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and thrift shopping.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2016. After college I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska and worked as a Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant for 5 years before I received my Masters degree in Communicative Science & Disorders from New York University in 2021. I love working with the pediatric population and work to make therapy a fun and rewarding experience for clients and their families. I feel passionate about speech sound disorders, early language development, and AAC. Outside of work I enjoy traveling with my husband, taking my dogs to the beach, and working out.

Dr. Bailey Wood

Bailey graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2022. She has had a passion for pediatrics since she began PT school in the summer of 2019. While obtaining her Doctorate, Bailey gained quality first hand experience by working with children with various diagnoses in the clinical setting. Additionally, she has worked with adults in both outpatient and acute care hospital settings. These experiences furthered her passion for making a difference in her patient’s and their families lives.

While attending college at the University of Mississippi, Bailey worked as an instructor for the Universal Cheerleading Association and traveled throughout the mid-south region teaching various skills to those within the pediatric ages. In her spare time, Bailey enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her dog, Remi. She looks forward to continuing a rewarding and fulfilling career in the field of pediatric physical therapy.

Taylor Gwin

Dr. Alyssa Husbands

Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences at Stetson University in 2018. She received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2021. Alyssa completed her doctoral capstone project incorporating drama and improvisation into OT intervention with adults with intellectual and development disabilities. She ran a ten and twelve week large group drama program at two separate Arc locations in St. Augustine during this time. (The movie they made can be found on YouTube!)

Alyssa is passionate about embracing individuality, self-expression, and diversity in and out of the clinic. She wishes to make a safe and welcoming space for all kids who walk through the door. In her free time you can find her enjoying all types of creative performance art and comedy as well as being with her pup Opie.

Katie McCudden

Katie gained her M.Ed with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from Penn State University in 2022. She embarked upon this educational adventure while awaiting her green card after re-locating to the United States with her USAF husband, who she met living in Cairo. Her 5 years in Egypt’s international school system was spent developing an innovative early-childhood support program as inclusion coordinator.

Prior to that most recent move, Katie lived in both the UK and Canada, earning her B.Ed in 2007 from the University of Alberta with a focus in Special Education. For 5 years, she was lead-teacher in a district-wide early intervention program that prioritized meeting family needs, and she now remains just as passionate about supporting families in expanding their capacity to meet the diverse needs of children who face developmental challenges; You’ll often find her running family workshops, yoga, or circle time at ATB! Katie loves to be outdoors with her family going snorkeling, paddleboarding and hiking.

Sarah Revette

Sarah Revette

Sarah gained her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Baylor University in 2018.

Sarah began her career in speech pathology working in an outpatient rehabilitation facility in Waco, Texas. She then moved back to her hometown of Navarre to work at Across the Board in 2020. Sarah loves all things speech, language, and feeding. Sarah is passionate about gestalt language processing, speech sound disorders, feeding therapy, and using music in therapy sessions to improve language skills. She loves to watch babies progress from breast/bottle feeding, to starting solids and beyond, and loves to help parents with practical feeding tips.

In her free time, Sarah loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and baby boy. She enjoys reading, playing guitar, singing, and cooking.

Anna Wilson

Anna has been working with kids since she was 15 years old. After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of West Florida, she began working as an RBT and immediately fell in love with the field. She received her Master’s in ABA at the University of West Florida and became a BCBA beginning of 2022. Anna’s areas of interest include skill acquisition, trauma informed care, and Gestalt Language Processing. When not at work, Anna can be found spending time with her cat Cleo or planning her next trip to Disney World.

Shane Earley

M.S., OTR/L, ATC - Occupational Therapist

Shane Earley

Shane is one of the rare male occupational therapists and the only one on staff here for the past 3! He is our only therapist certified by the State of Florida for use of physical agent modalities and manual therapy techniques. He is also the only kinesio taping practitioner in the area certified by Kinesio Taping International.

Shane is a graduate of University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where he was both an admissions student ambassador and didactic tutor. Shane has OT experience in orthopedic community pro bono clinics, adult day programs for intellectual/developmental disabilities, geriatric memory units, in-patient psychosis treatment, psychosocial group housing, adolescent substance abuse and recovery, and academia. Prior to ATB he was an occupational therapist intern at the largest school district in California.

OT is Shane’s second career, having spent almost a decade working as a certified athletic trainer (a license he still keeps current). He worked and traveled internationally in various settings from Junior Olympic Team development to middle school athletics. He obtained a Post-Professional Master’s of Medical Science from the University of South Florida and specialized in adolescent injury prevention. He was a research crew member for several years focused on initiating the first of its kind national investigation of vision changes following brain injuries, jointly with USF’s Concussion Center, UPMC Neurology, and Athletic-Related Trauma Institute.

Fun facts: Shane was named a 2016 member of Tampa Bay’s young professional men’s award, is a 3 time recipient of the NCAA Athletic & Academic Achievement Award for Men’s Tennis, was certified in 2011 by United States Professional Tennis Association, and despises the color burnt orange.

Breanne received her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of South Alabama and graduated with her masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Mississippi University for Women. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. She has always had a sweet spot for working with children of all ages and looks forward to working with you and your family for all of your communication needs.

Britany, also known as Brit, graduated from the University of West Florida in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Brit has provided therapy in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for 12 years with the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. She has worked across all settings: private clinics, schools, in-home, and in the community. She is experienced working 1:1 with children and adolescents from age 2 to 19. She is passionate about providing positive, individualized, child-led therapy. Brit’s areas of interest include early intervention, verbal behavior and language acquisition, and teaching social skills. She is a certified Safety-Care specialist and an advocate of providing trauma-informed care. When not at Across The Board, Brit can be found at a coffee shop grabbing a latte or at home watching an ’80s movie.

Sam Daly

Sam Daly

Sam obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland in 2016. She continued on to test for her BCaBA in 2020, and earn her Master’s in Behavior Analysis Practice from Florida Institute of Technology in 2022. Sam’s ABA experience includes working 1:1 with clients, providing direct treatment, as well as supervising and training other staff members to include RBTs and QASPs. Sam has worked in a variety of settings to include in home, clinics, schools, and the community. Sam cares deeply for the clients and families that she serves, focusing on prioritizing their needs and finding the best way to support them. Sam enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 kids, watching soccer matches, finding zen at yoga, and soaking in the sun.

Michael Jewell

My name is JanaLea Jewell, but I go by my middle name, “Michael.” I was born and raised in Salt Lick, Kentucky. I received my Bachelors in Community Support Services from Morehead State University in 2021. I have been a Registered Behavior Technician since April of 2022. I have previous experience in behavior management and reduction of maladaptive behaviors in a school based setting. I have also worked in a direct service model, as well as a tiered supervision model.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and humanlike Bernedoodle, Brady. My hobbies include going to the beach, shopping, watching sports and making a difference in the lives of those with disabilities.

Mary Ruth Woodall

Mary has been working with kids with autism for over 6 years, has been in the field of ABA for 2 years, and recently became an Assistant Behavior Analyst. She obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology from the University of South Alabama in 2016. She has experience working in early learning centers, teaching VPK, and full-time nannying for children with various diagnoses and disabilities. She is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at the University of West Florida and is working toward her BCBA credential. In her free time you can find her hanging out at the beach, traveling, dancing at concerts, and snuggling her animals!

Cara is an Administrative Assistant at Across the Board Therapy Group, where she ensures the daily operations run smoothly. Since joining ATB in 2015, she maintains patient accounts, authorizations, account receivables and ensures availability of treatments.

Cara has been a resident of Navarre since she moved to Florida in June of 2004 from her home state of Missouri (Go Chiefs!) She has been active in the community since. Cara takes great pride in working with children, connecting with the special needs families in our community and enjoys spending time with her husband and four-legged kiddo, Brewster.

Erica is one of the smiling faces that greets you in the front office when you enter Across the Board Therapy. She has been one of our Administrative Assistants since 2021, where she works hard to maintain authorizations and patient accounts, in addition to answering calls. She has lived in Navarre since 2017. She previously lived in Georgia (GO DAWGS!) and is originally from Thibodaux, Louisiana. Erica enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. Her two youngest children are actively involved in sports. She spends most of her time going to practices and games. If she’s not on the ball field, she is at the beach or hanging out with her Bulldog, Lola.

Magnolia is a born and raised local from Navarre, Florida. She attended Navarre Highschool and earned her certificate as a medical administrative assistant from Fortis Institute in Pensacola. She has approximately 4 years of medical office experience and loves working in pediatrics and getting to know the families who come into the office. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and playing live music gigs at local restaurants in the area.
