At Across the Board Therapy Group, our goal is to provide advanced treatment and parent resources to improve the lives of special needs children in our community. We are a patient-centered facility that strives to make therapy fit into the family as seamlessly as possible. We use an integrated approach that allows therapists to work together to reach the goals of the patient and his or her family.

Do I need a doctor's order for services?
Yes, all services provided at ATB require a doctor’s order. Contact your primary care physician and request a referral sent to our facility via fax (850) 939-3945 or email admin@acrosstheboardtherapy.com.
Do I need authorization from my insurance company?
Most insurances will require a prior authorization. Please contact your insurance company or feel free to contact our office regarding prior authorizations.
What are the procedures for receiving services?
Once we receive the doctor’s order, our scheduling department will call you to schedule an evaluation appointment. Based on the evaluation results, our professional will determine if further treatment is required. The evaluation results and recommended goals for treatment, will be forwarded to your primary physician to review and sign if in agreement. Our office will then schedule weekly appointments.
Can I go to session with my child?
Parent involvement is crucial in your kiddos progression. That can be accomplished in many different ways including education during or following treatment sessions.
I'm worried about high copays, are there resources to help cover the cost of therapy?
Small Steps in Speech and United Healthcare Children’s Foundation are two grants that we are familiar with that help offset the cost of co-payments and deductibles for some services. Please contact our office for more information about these and other resources.
Can I tour your facilities and meet your staff?
Yes! We’re happy to provide a tour. Typically our tours are available on Friday mornings. To schedule a tour, please call 850-939-3944 or contact us online.

Melissa Goolsby is the proud owner and practicing therapist at Across the Board Therapy Group since 2009.
ABA principles are applied across all disciplines to help special needs children learn new skills and modify behaviors. Because we offer multiple disciplines under one roof, clients can receive collaborative care with a tailored program to address each child’s unique needs.
Across the Board offers more disciplines than any other therapy facility in Northwest Florida. We proudly serve clients from Destin / Fort Walton through Gulf Breeze / Pensacola and beyond.
