We're blessed to have an amazing team at Across the Board Therapy Group. Our therapists are not only qualified and trained in their specialty, they're strongly committed to improving the lives of special needs children and their families. Together, we offer the most comprehensive services here in Northwest Florida and serve families with needs relating to autism, down syndrome, apraxia, feeding disorders, torticollis, and so much more.

Melissa Goolsby, M.S., CCC­-SLP, BCBA

Speech/Language Pathologist, Behavior Analyst &

Owner of Across the Board

 

Melissa Goolsby is the owner of Across the Board Therapy Group. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University Montgomery in 1999. She began her career as a Speech Therapist in January 2000 in the public school district. She went on to obtain her Master of Science degree from Northern Arizona University in 2004. In 2014, Melissa completed the requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

 

In her 20 year career, Melissa has worked in a variety of settings including school, home health, and private clinics. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys gardening, kayaking, and time with her family.

ABBEY RODAMAKER, M.A., BCBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

 

Originally from St. Louis, Abbey moved to the gulf coast in 2013.  She graduated suma cum laude from the University of Michigan in 2006 with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Asian Studies/Japanese Language.  She is a member of Psi Chi and Alpha Mu Gamma National Honors Societies.  After graduation, she worked as a psychometrician and research assistant at the Washington University Alzheimers Disease Research Center and the St. Louis Memory and Aging Project.  She has her Masters in Exceptional Student Education at UWF and her BCBA Certification.  Abbey is the mother of two beautiful girls, one of whom is special needs.  This prompted Abbey’s passion for ABA and the developmental services.

ALLISON BRAULT, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech/Language Pathologist

 

Allison is very excited to be working at Across the Board Therapy. She is originally from San Antonio,TX and received her bachelor's degree in education from Texas A&M University, and her Master of Science in communication disorders from Eastern New Mexico State University. 

 

 

In her spare time, you can catch her playing trivia or singing karaoke with her husband. She and her husband also love to travel! Literacy, speech, and pediatrics have always been her passion and she feels very lucky to be working in a great place with great people!

CALLIE PEDERSEN, M.O.T., OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

 

Originally from Louisiana, Callie earned her Bachelor's Degree at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and her Masters Degree of Occupational Therapy at LSU in Shreveport.  Callie is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Florida Occupational Therapy Association. Callie has experience working with those afflicted by traumatic brain injuries, cardiovascular accidents, burns, heart complications, developmental delays and other complications from complex illnesses. Before becoming a part of the ATB team, Callie’s primary experiences were in a pediatric outpatient/inpatient facility and in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.

CARA ROLAND

Office Manager

 

Cara is an Administrative Assistant at Across the Board Therapy Group, where she ensures the daily operations run smoothly. Since joining ATB in 2015, she maintains patient accounts, authorizations, account receivables and ensures availability of treatments. 

 

Cara has been a resident of Navarre since she moved to Florida in June of 2004 from her home state of Missouri (Go Chiefs!) She has been active in the community since. Cara takes great pride in working with children, connecting with the special needs families in our community and enjoys spending time with her husband and four-legged kiddo, Brewster.

ERIKA HERHOLZ, B.S., RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

 

 

Erika was born in Texas and raised in Gulf Breeze and has an undergraduate Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Forensic Science from UWF. She is currently working on her masters in ESE with a focus in ABA therapy at UWF and will sit for BCBA boards after expected graduation in August 2020.

 

Her goal has always been to work with children and she first experienced ABA therapy as an RBT in 2017 and have loved it ever since. Her passions include art, the beach, and spending time with her two dogs.

HANNAH LOMBARD, B.S., RBT

Registered Behavior Therapist

 

 

Hannah is a behavior therapist providing ABA to children and has been working in the field since October 2018.

 

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University in 2017. She is working towards a Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education with a specialty in Applied Behavior Analysis at The University of West Florida and is expected to graduate in August of 2019. In her spare time, Hannah likes to go to the beach and eat at new restaurants. 

HAYDEN DAVIS, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCBA

Speech-Language Pathologist/Behavior Analyst

Hayden Davis is a Speech/Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her Masters Degree in communication disorders from the University of South Alabama and completed coursework for her BCBA at the University of West Florida. Hayden has 20 years' experience working with adults, adolescents and children with varied abilities and needs. Hayden specializes in verbal behavior, aphasia, and social pragmatic language. She has experience treating disorders of language, articulation, fluency, feeding, and voice. She enjoys spending time with her 2 beautiful daughters, her 2 awesome dogs, and her mediocre cat. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, the beach, paddle boarding, kayaking, and golfing.

MAGGIE ANDERSON

Administrative Assistant

JENIA JOHNSON, M.S., BCBA 

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

 

Originally from New Orleans, Jenia served as a behavior technician since 2014. She graduated summa cum laude from Capella University in 2016, Masters in Psychology and emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis. She passed her Board Certification exam in May 2016 and continued in the field as a BCBA. Jenia is experienced with patients 20 months to 19 years and has worked in clinic, home, and school settings. She has 3 beautiful children and a US Air Force-retiree husband. When she isn't working, she loves being outdoors with her family and enjoying the pool or the beautiful Navarre beaches.

JULIA C. HARGIS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Julia has been a Pediatric Occupational Therapist since 1998. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Arkansas. Julia has worked in a variety of settings including schools, preschools, private clinics, home health and hospitals.

 

 

Julia is trained in sensory processing, Alert program, Wilberger Deep Pressure Protocol (Brushing), Handwriting without Tears, and Brain Gym. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, movies, hiking, and the beach.

TRACEY RHODES

Administrative Assistant

Tracey is originally from South Alabama and is so excited to finally be a Florida girl! She brings over 20 years of diversified healthcare experience to ATB including Lean Process Improvement and Studer Group patient experience fundamentals. Tracey studied Mathematics at Troy University.  She uses her love of numbers and processes to help streamline billing and denial management for ATB.

 

Her husband is a coach and teacher at Navarre High School. In her spare time you can find Tracey at a ball field cheering for her three kids and husband or at the beach enjoying the sand and sun.

DR. KALLI DONAWAY CLEMENT, CSCD, CCC-SLP

Speech/Language Pathologist

 

Dr. Kalli Donaway Clement has been a Speech Language Pathologist for over 10 years.  She is a specialist in swallowing and feeding problems and developing treatment programs to solve the problems experienced by children and adults who have neurological diagnoses.  

 

Kalli is active in local and national Speech Language Pathology associations, and is actively involved in training new Speech Language Pathologists.  Kalli graduated with her doctorate in Medical Speech Language Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh.

KAYLA BRYAN, M.S., OTR-L

Occupational Therapist

 

Kayla is originally from the small town of Monroeville, Alabama. She is a new graduate with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. Kayla discovered her passion when volunteering in a children’s hospital while completing her undergraduate degree, and loves every second she is lucky enough to work with her kiddos. 

 

 

 

When she is not working with her kiddos, Kayla enjoys spending time on the beach, reading, yoga, journaling, traveling, DIY activities, and most of all, spending time with her family!

LAURIE WHORTON PT, DPT, CIMI

Physical Therapist

 

Laurie has been a pediatric physical therapist since 1994 and  provided therapy for children in home, school, hospital, early intervention, and outpatient settings. A graduate of Maryville University, Laurie's experience includes working with diagnoses such as Torticollis, Spina Bifida, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, medically fragile, low tone, and Down Syndrome in children. She is trained in infant massage and has a special interest in promoting “tummy time” in infants. Laurie completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is married to Pastor Lance Whorton, and are starting Encompass Church in Navarre, Laurie enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, scrap-booking, puzzles, sewing, and taking her dog Charlie for walks.

LISA ATKINS, M.S., OTR/L

Occupational Therapist 

Lisa is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and has a younger brother with disabilities. She has always had a passion for improving the lives of those with disabilities and grew up teaching snow skiing to individuals with disabilities. Lisa received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in 1997. In her 20 year career she has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient rehab and acute care at Atlanta Children’s Hospital and Miami Children’s Hospital. She has also worked in early intervention, home health, outpatient clinics, day rehab programs and in the school system.

MANDI PINTO, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech/Language Pathologist

 

Mandi is a speech language pathologist who received her Bachelor & Masters of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Montevallo. For over 20 years, she worked with adults and pediatrics at private clinics, public/private schools, and in-home healthcare. Mandi is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation therapy (NMES). She covers speech “from the belly to the brain”. This involves swallowing, respiratory, cognition, receptive and expressive language, articulation, voice and alternative / augmentative communication. She loves spending time with her husband, two sons & daughter at home. Her long distance loves include a son in Arizona, 3 daughters & 4 granddaughters in Idaho.

MARIETTE STEVENSON, M.S., RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida State University, Mariette completed a Master's in Health Education & Promotion from The University of West Florida. She taught high school science until she found her true calling in Applied Behavioral Analysis. Mariette has worked with adults and children with various disabilities and diagnoses, diabetes research & health education, and helping students reach their full potential. She is currently studying to take her BCBA exam in Fall of 2019. Mariette grew up in a military family and has lived in the gulf coast off and on throughout her childhood. She lives in Gulf Breeze with her husband and 3 daughters. In her free time she enjoys scuba diving, taking her girls to the beach, and playing with her dogs.

NATASHA GEBHARDT, B.A., RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

 

Natasha is a native of the Alabama gulf coast and currently resides in Gulf Breeze. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida and is currently enrolled at Capella University where she will begin her Masters in Psychology with a Specialization in Applied Behavioral Analysis.

 

 

Natasha taught preschool for over 16 years, worked as a Case Manager for adults with varying special needs and began working as an RBT in 2012. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, reading, doing ancestry research, cooking, baking and decorating cakes. 

NICOLE BUSCEMI, M.S., OTR-L

Occupational Therapy

A native of North Carolina, Nicole moved to Navarre with her family in 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Therapy and Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, from East Carolina University, and she is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. From a young age, Nicole has possessed a passion for working with special needs populations, allowing her experience with people of all ages in various settings including in-patient rehabilitation, acute care, parks and recreation programs, ABA clinics, pediatric outpatient, and behavioral health. As an OT, she has worked primarily with children with developmental delays, autism, ADHD, and anxiety.  She has continued her education with courses in sensory processing, early pediatric development, and the Floortime model. In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, baking, and exploring new places. 

SHANNON BRODERICK, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

 

 

Originally from Indiana, Shannon earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology at Ball State University.  Her experience with speech therapy includes providing one-on-one and group therapy services for children and adults in clinical, outpatient rehabilitation, acute inpatient rehabilitation and school-based settings working toward improving articulation, receptive-expressive language, pragmatic language, fluency, feeding, cognitive and swallowing abilities.

 

Outside of work Shannon enjoys any outdoor activities, taking care of her fur babies, baking and shopping.

SINDHU DECENT, MSPT

Physical Therapist

 

Sindhu received a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in 2001. She has worked with adults as well as children in a variety of settings including Outpatient, Rehab, Schools, and Home Health in Alaska, Idaho, and Florida. She has worked closely with children with Torticollis, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Developmental Delay, and Orthopedic conditions.

 

She is NDT trained and has worked extensively with adults who suffered from strokes. Sindhu currently lives in Navarre with her husband, 2 kids, and 3 dogs. She enjoys hiking, reading, Yoga, and fostering dogs.
